Returning home.

She blushed. "Of course I am. If you die I go back to the kennel and I get sent to someone who only wants a toy." Don't notice I care... she thought silently

"Oh..." Zero said, a hint of sadness in his voice.

She bit her lip softly. "Finish that up and then lay down. Do you mind if I use the shower?"

"Yes. It's down the hall, to the right." He said, finishing his tea.

Vixen nodded and walked towards the bathroom and turned on the hot water while stripping down.

Zero sighed, getting up shakily as he moved to his bed.

Vixen got into the shower and chewed on her lip.

Zero just lied in bed, staring at the television screen.

Vixen finished her shower and wrapped a towel around her body before she realized she didn't have clean clothes. She bit her lip and stuck her head out the door. "Uhm Zero...? I don't have clean clothes..."

"Put the clothes on prior to you getting in the shower and I'll get you some soon." Zero said.

She pulled her head back in and slid her tank top and skirt back on before exiting the bathroom.

Zero slowly stood up, arching his back. "I'm getting worn down. Maybe I should consider an early retirement..." He said.

"You're also sick with who knows what." Vixen grabbed a pen and paper and started to jot down things needed for the room.

He chuckled lowly. "That is true. But what do you think? Would retirement be a good idea?" Zero asked.

"If you retire then you won't have income unless you have some money stashed away somewhere." Vixen jotted down things she thought were needed for the space they had.

Zero grinned, with a hint of knowings and winked at her. "I've always got money." He said.

Vixen scoffed softly. "That sounds like you didn't get it legally. Don't even tell me how I don't want to know." She tossed the list at him. "Anything else?" The list read lettuce, tomatoes, hamburger, bread, cheese (sliced and shredded), eggs, milk, butter, carrots, ice cream, chocolate sauce.

Zero chuckled again. "Trust me Vixen, everything I do is 100% legal. I have saved all my money from the time I started working." He said. "And no, not really." Zero added after looking at the list.

Vixen took it back and nodded. "Next time you go into work leave something for me to use to go get this stuff. And maybe some clothes as well." She then realized she was seeming a bit bossy. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to tell you what to do."

"Oh no, it's perfectly fine. Everyone needs to be a bit bossy every now and again." Zero said, his English accent slipping out. "I've got two cars, so you can chose one to drive." He added.

Vixen blushed heavily. "Are you sure? I don't want to upset you..."

"I'm absolutely positive." Zero said with a smile.

She nodded softly and doodled on her list of things to get.

Zero just laid back in bed, rubbing his neck.

Vixen sighed softly.
